Sally Schweikhard's Obituary
Sally Ann (Hottel) Schweikhard was welcomed into Heaven on September 6, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on March 19, 1935 to Robert Emmanuel and Julia (Dulworth) Hottel. Sally grew up on a large cattle ranch in Davis, OK. She loved playing with the cats in the barn and helping her older siblings with chores. She graduated from Davis High School in 1953 where she played clarinet in the marching band.
Sally married the love of her life, Robert Henry (Bob) Schweikhard on June 21, 1958 at Davis Church of Christ. Sally and Bob were introduced to each other by his sister, Carol, and her brother, Bruce, who married as well. Bob and Sally were married for 66 years.
Sally attended Tulsa Junior College and worked in real estate sales for twenty years. She thrived at networking and helping others find the perfect home.
Sally has always been very active in church. She loved hosting an annual Valentine’s Day Party at her home for widows. Sally had a beautiful voice and loved singing in church and with special performance groups. She also taught elementary Bible school classes for many years.
Sally was passionate about growing flowers and maintained a large rose garden by the entrance of the Garnett Church of Christ. She loved making fresh floral arrangements for wedding and baby showers, as well as special occasions.
Sally was known for her bubbly personality, bright smile and infectious laugh. She was a gifted storyteller and loved to entertain others with her antics. During the church annual fall festival, Sally enjoyed dressing up, acting silly and giving out candy to the children.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Julia Hottel; brother Rex Hottel; brother Charles Hottel; sister Peggy (Hottel) Strom; and foster son DJ Lawrence.
Sally is survived by her husband, Bob Schweikhard, of Tulsa, OK; her sons, Joe Schweikhard of Pocola, OK and Jeff Schweikhard and wife Nancy (Morgan) Schweikhard of Owasso, OK; foster son, Bobby Lawrence; her grandchildren Daniel Schweikhard and wife Ashley (Jackson) Schweikhard and Kayla Schweikhard.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Rose Chapel
