Samuel W. Chavous' Obituary
Samuel W. Chavous was born December 5, 1942 in Augusta, Georgia and passed away May 24, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Samuel was one of eleven children born to Raymond and Nellie Chavous. Samuel met and married the love of his life Patricia Ann Chavous. The couple was married just shy of 53 years. Samuel and Patricia met at church and dated two weeks before they were married. Samuel was a true family man. He loved spending time with his children; grandchildren and his great-grandson. When Samuel wasn’t spending time with his family he loved going to the casinos and really loved it when he could go to Las Vegas. Samuel will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Samuel is preceded in passing by his parents, Raymond and Nellie Chavous; brother, Raymond R. Chavous; sister, Debbie Sawyer and brother Bobby Chavous. Samuel is survived by his spouse, Patricia Chavous; son, Christopher Wayne Chavous; son Randy Lee Chavous and his wife Karen; son Samuel Todd Chavous and his wife Jana; grandchildren, Cody Chavous, Ty Chavous, Abby Chavous, Hunter Chavous, Spencer Chavous; great-grandson, Carter Chavous; sister, Mary James and her husband Aubrey; sister, Margaret Pittman; sister, Becky Burch; brother, Mark Chavous; brother, Donnie Chavous; brother, Barry Chavous and his wife Frances; brother, Charles Chavous. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
