Obituary- Samuel Kirby Hamm, Jr. was born September 6, 1928, in Ft. Smith Arkansas, to Samuel Kirby Hamm Sr. & Lula Studdard Hamm. He entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2017 at his home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He married Olene Jones on September 5th, 1949. He was 20 and she was 16. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Paul Hamm, son Frank Hamm, & recently son Glynn Hamm. He is survived by his wife Olene of 67 years, son Kirby Hamm III and wife Doris of Broken Arrow, son Randy Hamm & wife Tammy of Sand Springs, daughter Karen Hamm Mallory & husband Rick of Tulsa, and son Brian Hamm of Tulsa, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. His occupation was a newspaper pressman in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Wichita Falls Texas, Duluth Minnesota, and finally Tulsa Oklahoma. This was his work, but his passion was his family, being a Master Gardener, and an avid bird watcher. He loved his Lord, studying his Bible everyday. He was ornery, funny, stubborn, and enjoyed telling corny jokes to anyone who would listen. He was always ready and willing to help his family with any problem or project. As he neared the end of his life, he was in great anticipation of finally being in the presence of his dear friend and savior Jesus.
