I imagine him and mom are shouting down the streets of heaven together rejoicing in the Lord. As the old song goes, “Don’t cry for me, because you can’t imagine the day I am having today in heaven”. So sorry to hear of Sam’s death. He was a great neighbor for the Boyles family next door, just a few feet from his back door. We shared many great moments together while I “grew up” in the Union community from 7th grade until high school graduation and beyond. I remember he was very kind and understanding when our baseball made its way through his rear window!! Sam and Phil Hartman (my other next door neighbor) were really mentors to me in many ways and helped me immensely as I entered the Union Public Schools in junor high as the “new kid” on the block. I will always think fondly of him.
