Sam Simpson's Obituary
Samuel "Sam" Jefferson Simpson, 84 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his home. He was born May 31, 1937 in Maribel, Missouri to his parents, Jefferson Davis Simpson and Nancy Wilson Simpson. He later married the love of his life, Donna Lee DeFreece on July 14, 1957 and they spent the next 64 years making everlasting memories together.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Donna Simpson of the home; two children, Jeff Simpson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jill Loganbill and her husband David of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Cara Dodson and her husband Andrew of Jenks, Oklahoma, Stephanie McSperitt and her husband Austin of Sperry, Oklahoma, MacKenzie Simpson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and David Loganbill and his wife Katy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Aleisha McSperitt and her significant other, Benji Hewitt, Lendsy McSperitt, Thomas Loganbill and Franklin Loganbill; and many, many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Burnard and Jack and his daughter-in-law, Shane Simpson.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Floral Haven's Rose Chapel with Pastor Perry Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
