Sandra Dykes Angelo's Obituary
Sandra D. Angelo, age 77 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. She was an active member of Crosstown Church of Christ. For many years Sandra taught the 2nd through 5th grade class at Springdale Church of Christ as well as at Crosstown. Sandra enjoyed volunteering at the church, helping with Vacation Bible School and funeral meals. She participated in WOW (Women of the Well), an organization serving the needs of women who are single, divorced or widowed. Sandra was very active enjoying her Kappa Kappa Iota sorority, book clubs, water aerobics, opera and symphony. But mostly, Sandra loved and enjoyed her dogs.
Sandra was one of the most selfless people you will ever meet, always giving of herself to help others. She was a devoted educator, teaching AP Chemistry for many years at Broken Arrow High School. A strong advocate of education, Sandra always encouraged her friends and family to expand their knowledge.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, David Angelo, and infant daughter Jennifer, her father, Ivan Dykes (Red) and his wife Evelee; her mother, Bernice Preiss; and stepsister, Donna Nolen. She is survived by a sister, Susan Kostas; stepsister, Claudia Perona, stepbrothers David (Sharon) and Bob (Debbie), as well as many nieces and nephews. Sandra was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home: 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

Any other florists may deliver flowers directly to Floral Haven Funeral Home by 3:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2024, in order for them to be set out and properly displayed for Sandra's visitation.
A funeral service to honor the life of Sandra will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Crosstown Church of Christ, located at 3400 E Admiral Pl, Tulsa, OK 74115, with Pastor Marcus Elliott officiating. Please note that an additional time of visitation will be held at Crosstown Church of Christ at 12:00 PM, an hour prior to the church service beginning.
