Sandra Ruth Bare's Obituary
Sandra Ruth Bare, 77, a resident of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed away on March 9, 2023. Sandy was born on May 22, 1945, in San Pedro, California. Sandy was lovingly referred to by her close family and close friends as "Pooh" because of her love of Winnie the Pooh. She was married to the love of her life James "Jim" Bare for over 50 years until his passing in 2014. They enjoyed traveling; especially going to the beach in Ft. Meyers, Disney World, Branson, and spending time at the lake. Sandy enjoyed time with her friends, they played Bunco, and took yearly trips to Devil's Den State Park, and they even had the opportunity to ride in a hot air balloon. Sandy loved flowers and shopping, but most of all she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Her grandkids loved playing the game Trouble with her and will always remember those times spent together with their "maw maw". She leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will sincerely be missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in passing by her father, Finley Provine Diggs; her mother and step-father, Thelma and Houston Nation; her beloved husband, James "Jim" Bare; and her brother, Bobbie Diggs. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Belcher, and her husband, Tom; her son, Kevin Bare; her grandchildren, McKenzie Heckart and her husband, Seth, Kade Bare and his fiancé, Lydia Humphrey, Mason Belcher, and Emerson Bare; her great-grandchildren, Owen Humphrey and Koa Bare; her sister, Barbara Bridwell; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Green Tree Memory Care staff and Enhabit Hospice for all the wonderful care that Sandy was given.
Sandy's favorite color was yellow, so her family has requested everyone that would like to can wear yellow in her honor.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Opportunity Center in Ponca City http://opcenterok.org/index.php
