Sandra "Sandy" Bilyeu's Obituary
Sandra Marie Henry-Bilyeu, 75, of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away on February 25, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 10 a.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home on 6500 S. 129th E. Ave. in Broken Arrow, officiated by Dr. Randy Brown. Private graveside service for family following funeral, then public reception at Floral Haven from 12 to 2 p.m. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1st, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Floral Haven.
Sandra (Sandy) was born on June 4, 1947, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to Harold Richard “Dick” Henry and Laura “Pat” Rocco. Sandy was raised by her father and Catherine (John) Smaligo in Collinsville, then graduated from Hale High School of Tulsa in 1965. Sandy grew up in Collinsville, after high school she married and moved to Ft. Worth, Texas, where she worked at Edison’s Jewelry and a love for showing horses began. In the 1990s, she worked at Summit Title Company in Ft. Worth as a commercial escrow officer. She then moved to Tulsa and worked as a realtor with Keller Williams Realty where she retired.
Sandy married Dennis Bilyeu in 2012 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They were happily married for over 10 years, enjoying their retirement years in the Tulsa area and traveling to Grand Lake, Oklahoma, and Sanibel Island, Florida. Sandy was also so blessed and thankful to spend time in Wasilla, Alaska, with her daughter Renee Carlson who had been given up for adoption at birth and reunited with 20 years ago.
Sandy is known to have been an avid reader, gardener, antique shopper, Chief’s fan, and lover of mysteries, crossword puzzles, and her dog, Curly. She greatly looked forward to her monthly lunches with her girlfriends, took great care of her stepmother, and truly loved animals in need. Sandy had a deep faith in God and love for the Word of God and enjoyed attending Life Church with Dennis for worship.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband Dennis Bilyeu of Bixby; stepmother Betty Henry of Tulsa; daughter Renee (Rob) Carlson of Wasilla, Alaska; stepson Chris (Dawn) Bilyeu of Sapulpa; stepdaughter Kerri (Randy) Brown of Minden, Louisiana; stepdaughter Kim (Chris) Basnett of Tulsa; brother Richard Michael Henry of Tulsa; granddaughters Jessica Russell, Melissa Carlson, and Emily (Zach) Johnson; grandsons Jesse (Miranda) LoTempio, William Robertson, Matthew Bilyeu, Lucas Brown, Joshua Brown, Henry Brown, and Nathan Cordova; great-granddaughters Miley Stamper and Morgan Carlson; great-grandsons Robbie and Jameson Carlson; step-great-grandson Milo LoTempio; step-great-grandson Julian Robertson; brother-in-law Jerry (Pam) Bilyeu; sister-in-law Karen Smith; and numerous extended family and friends who all loved Sandy very much.
