Sandra Buchanan, 77, of Broken Arrow, OK passed September 30, 2025. She was born in Racine, WI on December 30, 1947 to George and Stella Hedrick. Sandra will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved. Please leave a story or a me Read Obituary
To the family and friends of Sandra,
I met Sandra through Joyce, who is my cousin, and found her to be the most joyous person - full of love, kindness, and positivity. I enjoyed her when she and Joyce stayed at my home in Pittsburgh as they past through Pennsylvania. Just last October (2024) they spent a few days with me, and I saw how Joyce's health was failing and how concerned Sandra was about caring for her. I also witnessed how much love they had for each other, grateful for each other in their lives. It is very sad that their time together has come to and end, or has it, as they will be united again with God and find peace from the troubles of their earthly lives.

I just met Sandra earlier this year. She was interested in learning how to raise and care for bonsai. She was a club member at the Green Country Bonsai Society. She visited my bonsai garden a few months ago where I potted up some trees for her and she bought a couple indoor bonsai from me. Every time I saw her she had something for me. Her last gift was a Japanese knife she recently found at a thrift store. I’m a bonsai guy and a knife maker so she knew I would love it. She always gave me a big hug before we parted and thanked me profusely for sharing what I know about bonsai with her. I’ll greatly miss her at our monthly meetings. I’ll use some rocks and a figurine she gave me in my display at our bonsai show on Oct 11 in her honor. I’ve added a couple pictures. A bonsai with the little white Buddha figurine she gave me on her visit to my bonsai garden and the knife she gave me last month at our bonsai club meeting.
