Sandra J. Haley's Obituary
Haley, Sandra Bruner, born May 16, 1940 in Tahlequah, OK. passed from this life, Thursday, August 26, 2010. It is very difficult to summarize in a few words the life of Sandra, who meant so much to those who knew her. Sandra filled her life with love and a strong sense of loyalty to her family and friends. She leaves us all with many happy and treasured memories. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She courageously fought, throughout her illness, to make each day count and to tell everyone how much she loved them. She will be completely missed, remembered with happiness and with love in the hearts of all who knew her. Sandra is preceded by her father Audrey Lee Bruner, mother Mary Christie Bruner and her brother Roland Gilbert Bruner. She was the beloved mother of Sherry (Joe), Debra (Terry) and Darrell. Precious sister of Beverlye. Wonderful grandmother of Amber, Ashton, Olen and her beloved cat Callie. Niece Kristin, nephew Russell and their families. Special friend Shirley. To Those I Love And Those Who Love Me When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me in tears Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess How much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled alone. So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for awhile that we must part So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near; And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you, soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone I'll greet you with a smile and a 'Welcome Home.' A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Garden of Prophets at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the American Cancer Society.
