Sandra Kay Reese's Obituary
Sandra Kay Reese, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, and sister, passed away on January 14, 2026, in Vinita, Oklahoma. She was born on August 11, 1946, in Heavner, Oklahoma, to C.G. Lester and Tommie Ellen (Duncan) Moore. From the beginning, Kay carried a spirit that was bold, loving, and unmistakably her own.
Kay built a long and dedicated career as a cost analyst for Gear Products, where she worked for more than 20 years. She approached her work with the same determination and confidence she brought to every part of her life—she liked being in charge, and she was good at it.
Outside of work, Kay filled her days with the things and people she loved most. She enjoyed watching sports, painting, traveling, and especially celebrating her grandchildren’s victories—often with a meal out afterward. Whether she was cheering from the stands or planning the next family outing, Kay was always the loudest supporter, the most enthusiastic traveler, and the one who made sure no one was ever left out. Her grandchildren knew her as "Nannie Kay" who never said no, and her family knew her as the glue that held everyone together.
Kay loved visiting Branson, going on cruises, and exploring new places. Her joy for life was contagious, and her presence made every gathering brighter and every adventure more memorable.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Reese, Jr.; daughters, Regina Otero and her husband Cris, and Melissa Beeler; grandchildren, Brionna Harjo, Robert Otero and his wife Brianna, Reed Beeler, Jaylon Otero, Dalani Medearis and her husband Tanner Medearis, and Brayden Otero; great‑grandchildren, Nvkose Harjo, Fuscate Harjo, and Trevor Medearis; sister, Sue Locke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of her strength, humor, and unwavering love.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Kay’s life will take place at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
Kay leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and togetherness. Her voice, her laughter, and her leadership will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide the family she cherished so fiercely.
