Dr. Sanjay Kapoor's Obituary
Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, 47, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1973 in India to his parents, Jagdish Kapoor and Vijay Anand Kapoor. He married the love of his life, Sonal Kapoor on June 10, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois and they have shared over 14 years together.
He graduated from Grant Medical College in Mumbai. He moved to the USA to be with his parents. He completed his specialty training in Chicago.
Despite being a physician, he was able to take time off to volunteer and take care of his parents whenever they needed him.
He went every winter to work as a senior doctor in Dara, India to serve the needy. He always said that he wanted to finish his "Karma" on this earth soon enough and rise above the cycles of life. His faith in Radhasoami religion gave him strength and courage to do what he wanted and beat the norms of life.
Everybody who met him felt the warmth of his blissful soul. Sanjay and his wife Sonal gave, selflessly their time, money, and energy to help hundreds of people financially and spiritually.
God took him early from this earth on June 3rd, 2020.
He will be remembered for his philanthropy, zest for life, and a servant heart. We believe that the earth has been made a better place because of him.
Sanjay is survived by his loving wife, Sonal Kapoor; his parents, Jagdish and Vijay Kapoor; his sister, Benu Dhawan and husband Sanjay; two nephews, Manik and Savik Dhawan; and many friends and extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
