Sara Kaleen McCullough's Obituary
Sara Kaleen (Creel) McCullough, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend passed from this life on Friday, January 14, 2022. Sara was born on May 4, 1970 in Tulsa, OK to Daniel and Helen Creel. She met the love of her life, Mark McCullough, on August 15th, 2009 and they married four years later on that same date, August 15, 2013, in Broken Arrow, OK. Sara said, "so he wouldn't have to remember two dates".
Sara was a Registered Nurse at Tulsa Ascension St. John Medical Center - Stroke Unit and later a Care Manager for Dr.'s Higbee, Thomas and Gordon. She proudly followed her mother’s footsteps into the health care profession. She was the prime example of "it's not a job, if you love what you do". Sara was a passionate "Mama Bear" to her boys. She loved to travel with her family and was able to enjoy trips to Glenwood Springs, CO, Chicago, and Hawaii.
Sara was proceeded in death by her mother, Helen Creel; her grandparents, Francis & Lucile Creel, Donald & Gladys Hibbs; her uncles, David Creel, Frank Creel and Kenneth Hibbs. She is survived by: her loving husband, Mark McCullough; her sons, Brody and Trevor Sawyer of Tulsa, OK; her father and mother-in-love, Daniel & Ginger Creel of Tulsa, OK; Step-daughter and husband Jessica and Jeremy O'Dell of Sapulpa, OK; Step-son Gary McCullough of Jenks, OK; Grandchildren Riley McCullough O'Dell, Colton O'Dell, and Michael King; her sister and brother-in law, Shelly & Brett Reynolds of Tulsa, OK; her sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Darren King of Inola, OK; her brother, Brian Creel of Tulsa, OK; her nephews Taylor Reynolds & Elijah Creel; and her niece, Abigail King.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, January 23rd at the Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 74012. The Celebration of Life Service will be at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 24th, 10 a.m., with Reverend Vince King officiating.
