Sarah Mae Fisher's Obituary
Sarah Mae Fisher, a resident of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed away April 19, 2017 at the age of 90. She was born April 22, 1926 in De Soto, Missouri to Charles Thomas Harrison and Martha Mahala (Johnston) Harrison. She married on October 12, 1946. Sarah and her loving husband, Edward were happily married for over 70 years. She was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church Choir (beautiful soprano voice) and ladies guild and Girl Scout Leader in Matamoras, PA. She was employed as a Sales Clerk at the local JC Penney store and relocated to Tulsa in 1977 and to Cleveland in 1983. Sarah was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC), Tulsa Chapter and the Tulsa Genealogical Society. She had a long time passion for genealogy, tracing the ancestry of all members of the family. She also had an avid love of needlework, including quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, cross stitch and rug hooking. Sarah won ribbons at the Tulsa State Fair for her hooked rugs.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mattie Harrison; brother, Eugene Harrison; sister, Ora Harrison; brother, George “Virgil” Harrison; brother, Alfred “AL” Harrison; sister, Omega Harrison Gravier; brother, Robert “Bob” Harrison and sister, Martha Harrison Tipton.Survivors include her loving husband, Edward “Ed” Fisher; daughter, Sally Fisher Clark and husband, David; son, Richard Fisher and wife, Margaret; daughter, Jean Fisher Bauer; grandchildren, Benjamin Clark and wife, Allison, Heather Clark, Michael Fisher, Karen Fisher, Kevin Bauer and wife, Emily, Denise Bauer Reid and husband, Jeff, Wes Bauer and wife, Stephanie; great grandchildren, Nathan and Olivia Clark, Aaron Barnes, Jackson Reid, Nicholas, Andrew and Jeremy Bauer; great-great grandchild, Chase Barnes and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Viewing will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Floral Haven Funeral Home.Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor James Lacey officiating.The Family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Sarah to the Peninsula Fire Department, Cleveland, Oklahoma.
