My father taught me so many things. He taught me to be strong, kind, honest, and fearless. He taught me that character is truly measured by your actions and how many times you get back up after you are knocked down, not by material possessions or how much money you are worth. He played football in the yard with us and wrestled in the living room. He absolutely loved Christmas! He loved to have all his family together in one place to celebrate family, love and life. He taught me that God is love and to love with my whole heart open. The most important thing my father could have ever taught me was not to be afraid to be myself. It doesn’t matter if other people don’t accept you, as long as you are true to yourself. He always loved me, no matter what. The only lesson he didn’t teach me was how to do all this without him. I miss him everyday and I can’t imagine a day I wake up and don’t think of him. My friend, teacher, guide, dad. I love you, always.
