Scott A. Magnuson's Obituary
Scott Arthur Magnuson, 62, passed away in the early morning of October 15th, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 18, 1956 to Arthur Magnuson and Katherine (Levin) Magnuson in Salina, Kansas. Scott was an avid HAM radio user, and the owner of Action Door aka The Garage Door Man (his garage door business). He loved history and frequently traveled the U.S. to learn firsthand about past events that transpired. Scott enjoyed collecting guns, going fishing with his family, and was always among the first to try the newest tech gadget. He was well-known by all for being a hard-worker with a firm moral code and a strong-sense of family. Scott was taken too soon, but he is no longer suffering from the physical pain that plagued him in recent years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Iva Magnuson, daughter, Samantha, son, Scott, grandchild, two brothers, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 2 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, October 17th at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 2 PM on Friday, October 18th at Floral Haven’s Rose Chapel. A burial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 19th at Smokey Hill Cemetery in Lindsborg, Kansas.
