Rest in Peace and Fly High

Hey man, I was just thinking about you for the first time in a while. Someone on Reddit posted a story that reminded me of you.
I bet you’d probably be in the military right now off doing something amazing, with how strong-willed you were. It’s strange how much time has passed, and yet I can still remember us staying up way too late playing video games together, usually right up until someone’s parents started yelling at us to go to bed because we got so... I'll say competitive, to keep it PG.
Remember Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising? It basically evolved into games like Arma. I know for a fact you would’ve loved those. I played a game called Squad for a long time too, which was based off of Arma. Did you know it actually started as a mod on Battlefield 2? Remember that game?
I’m honestly not even sure if we would’ve stayed in touch all these years, because honestly I haven’t really kept up with many people from our old friend group. But every now and then something reminds me of those days, and it always make me a little sad thinking back on it, wishing I could go back to those easy days when all we had to worry about was getting our homework done on time, girls we were talking to in school, and trying not to get caught doing too much crazy stuff by our parents.
Did you know Ryan McDermott passed away too? It happened a few years ago. Apparently he became a pretty well-known Republican in Texas. Crazy how life turns out. It's true about what they say, life really is a journey. I like to think maybe you two have gotten the chance to catch up somewhere and he’s been telling you about all the games that came out after you left. There were some that you definitely would have hated, and I wonder what you would have to say about some of them. You would’ve been so excited for some of them, too. I know it. Hope you are doing well man, fly high.
Miss you.
Sherry and Glen so sorry for your loss. Take care.
