Shane Warner Gray passed away at the age of 44, on January 5th, 2025, after a brief battle with illness. He is preceded in death by his parents James Gray and Brenda Gray. He is survived by his loving wife Brandi Gray and their daughter Mckenzie Gray, brothers Scott and Chad Gray, cousins Ryan, Steven and Connor Gray, along with numerous other cousins and second cousins, as well as his in-laws Daryl and Kathy Griffin, sister-in-law Tessa Griffin, brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Amanda Griffin and nephews Harrison, Grant and Declan Griffin. Also included as family are Shane’s closest friends and neighbors, who all held a special place in his heart and will miss him dearly.
Shane was born on June 11th, 1980, in Tulsa, OK. He attended Union High School via Peters Elementary and went to work as an Advertising Executive for 25 years.
Shane was larger than life and everyone’s absolute favorite person. He was well-read, quick-witted and very charming, with a constant smile, a boisterous laugh and sense of humor that will always be remembered. He valued loyalty and friendship; he stood for his beliefs and would argue his point until you gave up or he made fun of you and changed the subject. He wouldn’t let someone else do what he could do for himself, and he was always there when needed or called upon.
He put gravy on most things, and he loved to cook and eat, however, he wouldn’t eat his own cooking unless it was up to his standard. He enjoyed unsweet tea and didn’t tolerate rude behavior around a meal. Shane wore a big, thick, well-groomed beard most of the time and would often slap his calf muscle and make you look at it to jokingly to intimidate you. He’d rarely respond to a text but would always answer a call.
He appreciated great music and movies. He loved watching shows with Brandi and making loud, endearing comments to make her blush. Most of all, he took every opportunity to take Mckenzie out to breakfast. They would talk, laugh, and entertain each other over a meal. He absolutely loved to spend quality time with her, and he cherished the truly special bond that they shared.
He may be gone but he will never, ever be forgotten.
