Shannon Leigh Flores' Obituary
Shannon Leigh Cornell was born November 7, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late James Clell Cornell and Lela (Williams) Cornell. She departed this life on December 17, 2022, after an eight-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones during her final moments and was reunited with her sweet son, Jared Flores.
In her passing, Shannon’s husband of 40 years, Donald Ray Flores, and their three sons: Jason, Nicholas, and Clayton, will cherish her memory. Her legacy lives on through her two grandsons, Calvin and Redford, and her friends and extended family who loved her.
Shannon is a proud alumnus of Jenks Public Schools, graduating in 73’. She dedicated her career to public service as she was a court reporter for Tulsa, Wagoner, and Muskogee counties. A majority of her 40-plus years of service were spent with the Honorable Lyle Burris and the Honorable Robin Adair. She was an expert at her craft, but it was her compassion and professionalism that resonated with beloved coworkers.
Shannon’s memorial service will be held at Floral Haven Rose Chapel (6500 S. 129th East Ave, Broken Arrow, OK) on December 21st, 2022, at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will follow the memorial service at 2 p.m. at Heirloom Rustic Ales (2113 East Admiral Blvd) in Tulsa.
