Sharon Denise Adair's Obituary
Sharon Denise Adair, age 58, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away at Hillcrest South Hospital on January 2026. Sharon was born on November 27, 1967, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Andrew Mattox and Louise Routh Mueller, both of whom preceded her in death.
Sharon grew up in Tulsa and graduated from East Central High School in 1986. On August 25, 1990, she married the love of her life, Mark Adair, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they built a life filled with laughter, friendship, and deep family roots in Stilwell, Tulsa, and ultimately Broken Arrow.
Sharon dedicated 36 years of service to American Airlines, beginning her career on August 14, 1989. She worked as a Specialist in Aircraft Acquisitions and Returns, a role she took great pride in throughout her long and respected career.
Outside of work, Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved antique stores, craft shows, and shopping—always on the lookout for what Mark would jokingly called “future garage sale items,” much to Mark’s amusement. She cherished evenings spent in the driveway visiting with neighbors and friends, and she was rarely seen without a Dr Pepper close by.
Above all else, Sharon’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a deeply loving mother, and an adoring Gigi to her grandchildren. Being a mom to Maegan and Justin was the role she treasured most, and becoming a grandmother brought her endless pride and happiness. Her grandchildren were her heart, and she delighted in every moment spent with them.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Adair; her daughter, Maegan Adair of Bonanza, Arkansas, and son-in-law Travis Dickerson; her son, Justin Adair of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and daughter-in-law Sylvia Smith; and her cherished grandchildren, Adalynn, Jameson, Isaac, and Natalia.
She is also survived by her siblings, Paul Mattox, Pam Christie, Randy Bogart, and Misty Longshore. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Mattox.
Sharon leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, including Kim Drabek, Jason Christie, Melissa Cummings, and Jennifer Malone. She was preceded in death by her niece, Stephanie Mattox Greer.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24, at 3:00 p.m. at Floral Haven. A reception will follow the service.
