Sharon G Benton's Obituary
Sharon Gayle Benton, 76, of Tulsa, passed on surrounded by family, in Broken Arrow, on
January 24, 2023. Sharon was born April 17, 1946, in Tulsa, OK to Clarence and Dena Winn.
During her life, Sharon enjoyed writing music and poems. She studied nursing and was a dedicated nurse for 30+ years. She was beyond passionate about cooking, a very active member of her church, and had an immense love for all her children and grandchildren. She was never happier in life than when she was surrounded by her loved ones. She was amazingly kind-hearted, a fantastic listener, and a very devout follower of Christ. She was also a huge animal lover, whether it be dogs or birds. She was never one to turn away anyone in need and she always put others’ needs before her own. She was a natural born caretaker and she put all her heart into everything she did. The love she had in her heart was infinite, her humor was vivacious, and she was a true woman of virtue. Her legacy lives on through the hearts she touched.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence, and Dena Winn; Brother, Mark Winn; and sister, Martha Hansen. She was survived by her husband of eleven years, Lawrence Benton, her three sons, Phillip Tedrick, Joshua Maywald, and Patrick Tedrick. She was also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Zach Maywald, Matthew Maywald, Brittany Tedrick, Ashley Tedrick, Brandon Tedrick, Brian Capria and his wife Meagan Capria, Tristen Tedrick, and Hunter Tedrick. As well as her four great grandchildren, Xander Tedrick, Lane Ellenburg, Kye Tedrick, and Daltin Mccoy.
