Sharon Cotner's Obituary
Sharon Watson Cotner passed away, June 17, 2020 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born December 27, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Jeff and Mary Lynn Watson. Sharon was a 1962 graduate of Stuttgart High School located in Stuttgart, Arkansas where she grew up. While attending high school, she was a member of the band and a cheerleader for the basketball team. She was a frequent contestant in numerous beauty pageants for which she always was among the finalist. After graduating, she attended the University of Arkansas before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She later retired from working at Oral Roberts University in the maintenance department, where she had the responsibility of assigning various maintenance projects. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, tending to her garden, and attending garage sales. Because of her successes in these areas, she lovingly provided for many of family and friends. Her most cherished travel destination was of the Holy Lands of Israel. Most importantly, she was a devout Christian and more than willing to share her belief with others.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Jeff and Mary Lynn Watson; husband Bill Cotner of Broken Arrow, OK; and granddaughter Mikayla Jade Cotner of Porter, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her son Todd Cotner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren Emma Faith Cotner, Abigail Hope Cotner, Landon Rylee Cotner, and brother Jeffrey Watson.
