Sharon Gail Collier's Obituary
Sharon Gail Collier 48, of Bixby, Oklahoma lost her 15 month battle with cancer on November 20, 2014. Sharon, the oldest of three children, was born January 24, 1966 in Oklahoma City, OK to Orie and Thelma (Scott) Aldridge. Sharon attended Lowell Elementary and Winfield High School both in Kansas. After graduating from high school Sharon attended Cowley County Community College and then worked for over 11 years at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center. After moving to Tulsa in 1998 Sharon began her career as an Administrative Assistant. She worked for several different companies including 7up/RC Bottling, Verizon Business Services and most recently National Oilwell Varco in Tulsa. Sharon married Eric Collier on April 28, 1998 in Winfield, Kansas. Sharon was an honest, respectful, caring, loving and generous person. She cherished every moment with her family and loved watching her children and grandchildren grow. Sharon loved traveling with her family, NASCAR and listening to music; especially Prince and George Straight. Sharon had a deep love for Christ and believed that Jesus is all Loving and will take care of those who accept him in their lives. Sharon will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Sharon is preceded in passing by her parents Orie and Thelma Aldridge. Sharon is survived by her spouse Eric Collier of Bixby OK; son Richard Smith, Bixby; son Brandon Smith and his wife Shana of Tulsa; daughter Katie Collier, Bixby; grandson Gabriel Smith of Tulsa; twin brother Darron Aldridge and his wife Leslie of Winfield KS; sister Debbie McNinch and her husband Steve, Owatonna MN; and countless other family members and friends. There will be a visitation Monday, November 24, 2014 from 4-7p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, OK. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society., OK.
