Sharon Gail Jeffers' Obituary
Sharon Gail Hutto-Jeffers, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed through the Gates of Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on April 24, 2014. Sharon was born to Louise and Willard Proctor in Ardmore, Oklahoma on August 30, 1940. Sharon had one sister Deanna, who she loved and adored very much. Deanna was also her dearest friend and they spent many happy hours together visiting, dining out and watching old movies, especially Pride and Prejudice, which was a special favorite. In 1958 Sharon was swept off her feet by the love of her life James Hutto who was in the Air Force stationed nearby her home. They were married, had two sons, and had 28 happy years together, until she was widowed in 1986. Sharon remarried Paul Michael Jeffers in 1989 and they enjoyed many years of love and happiness until she was again widowed in 2001. Sharon then moved to Tulsa to live with her son David and his family and resided in Tulsa for her remaining years. Sharon was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Lifters Sunday School class and helped others with their grief by volunteering in the Church’s Widow/Widower Workshops for many years. Sharon was a very godly woman who lived her life according to God’s Holy Word. She was a very loving, selfless person and cared deeply for her family and friends. Sharon especially enjoyed spending time with a lovely group of good friends from her church and they attended concerts, dined together often, and did other fun activities together. She also enjoyed a very special relationship with her dear friend Shera Parker. She was adored by her children and grandchildren and loved to spend time with them as often as possible. Sharon was funny and witty and loved to laugh and have a good time. She loved flowers, birds, babies, pie and chocolate. Sharon was excited as she contemplated her eventual promotion to Heaven and talked fondly about the wonderful reunion she anticipated with her family there. Her family and friends here will miss her greatly, but also anticipate a joyous reunion with her someday because of our living hope in Christ. Sharon is survived by her sister Deanna and brother-in-law Jim Sullivan, their children and grandchildren, Michelle and Lenn Melson, Kristen and Kaitlen Melson and Randy and Shelly Self and Derek Self.
