Smittle, Sharon G's Obituary
Sharon Smittle, born in April 1941 in Jerusalem, Arkansas, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She spent her early years between Arkansas and Tulsa and was a proud graduate of Tulsa Central High School before continuing her studies at Abilene Christian College.
In 1962, Sharon met the love of her life, Forrest, with whom she shared 51 joyous years of marriage. Their life together was filled with love, faith, and devotion to their family. Sharon’s greatest joy was her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Sharon’s adventurous spirit also shaped her career. She spent many years in the travel industry, including her time with American Airlines, where she combined her professional life with her passion for exploring the world. Europe held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in experiencing its cultures and history.
Later in life, Sharon found companionship with a wonderful man, whose love, laughter, and care brought happiness to her every day.
Sharon will be remembered for her love, strength, and sense of adventure. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, and her parents. She is survived by her two children and their spouses, and four grandchildren who all carry forward her love of travel and exploration. She also is survived by her brother and sister in law, three nephews and one niece and their families. Her companion and caregiver Angel Salas survives her.
Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always
