Sharron O'Kelley's Obituary
Sharron O'Kelley, a beacon of love and inspiration, passed away on November 7, 2023. Born on June 6, 1941, in Oklahoma City, OK to George Alex Baker and Elzora “Judy” Baker. Sharron lived a life devoted to spreading kindness, faith, and compassion to everyone she encountered. Sharron's steadfast optimism and devotion to Jesus Christ shined like a bright star, enlightening the lives of those near her. Throughout her life, Sharron had a remarkable ability to see the best in every situation. No matter the challenges she faced, she remained determined and strong, never giving up. Her resilience was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she faced each obstacle with steadfast determination. Sharron held a deep love for people and had a gift for encouraging and uplifting those she met. Her overwhelming love and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals. She had a unique ability to connect with others, offering a listening ear, a comforting word, and a helping hand whenever it was needed. Family was of utmost importance to Sharron, and her love for her loved ones knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with her family and created countless memories filled with joy and laughter. Her love and support were the pillars that held her family together, providing them with strength and solace during difficult times. One of Sharron's simple pleasures in life was watching the Hallmark channel. The heartwarming stories and messages of hope and love resonated deeply with her, further fueling her own desire to bring joy and happiness to others. Sharron's commitment to helping others was unwavering. She felt peace in assisting those who were struggling, and her deeds of generosity showed her kind heart, by putting others before herself, she gave them relief and encouragement, and also gained comfort in her own difficulties. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Orlan O’Kelley and parents. She is survived by her daughter Lori Lawbaugh and son-in-law Jimmy whom she loved like a son, grandchildren Stefani Cook and husband Greg Cook, Dylan Lawbaugh, Zachary Lawbaugh, great-grandchildren Sam Cook and Caroline Cook, faithful beloved friends Sue Ann Coursey, Walter, and Sharon Andrew, sister Sandy Morton and husband Don, sister Cynthia McCoy and husband Gary, much loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov 9, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Funeral service will be held Friday, Nov 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Southwood Baptist Church (4020 S 102nd E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74146) Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens at 12:15 PM.
