Sherlene Cox's Obituary
Sherlene Cox, 79, passed from this life on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born September 2, 1941 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to her parents, Tommy Niblett and Cordelia Kreger Niblett.
Sherlene spent most of her life in south Oklahoma City, moving to the Tulsa area to be near her grandchildren once she retired. As a career, she worked as a switchboard operator, and spent 26 years at Oklahoma City’s Hillcrest Hospital. She loved watching OU Football, OKC Thunder, and dressing up in matching clothes and jewelry, which she did most every day of her life. Her greatest love was for Jesus and her family.
Sherlene is survived by her beloved family, her daughter, Kellie Basden and her spouse, Marlin, of Jenks, Oklahoma and her son, Jeff Cox of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Mandie Rowden and her spouse, Kim, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Blake Rowden and his spouse, Sam, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Logan Basden of Jenks, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Charlie Rowden and Jasper Rowden of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Cordelia Niblett and one sister, Ruby Tacker.
She will be deeply missed by those she loved and who loved her. She left a beautiful legacy and her family looks forward to the day they’ll all meet again.
