Lit a candle in memory of Sherman Leroy Smith
So many memories of the best person the Lord led in my life. He would do anything for me and we so enjoyed just hanging out, and could be at my house in 5 min. I miss him so much, One of the last things he did was fix my squeek on my car just hours before his stroke, He and Bobby Lee and I were unseperable. I helped him around his house as he did mine. I had even alread bought his birthday present. Enjoyed giving him sweets, because he loved sweets. I have so many good pics of Sherman I miss ya my friend and the lord took the best man far too soon. love ya Debbie Barrett
Sherman we are all missing your smiling face and your generous personality! Heaven definitely gained another angel as we are all missing you here on earth. I was looking forward to our marshmallow toss! We will have to do it in your honor!! Prayers for your family I know that this has left a huge void for all of them. We know you will be shining down on all of us.
It broke my heart to learn of Shermans passing. I met him over 6 yrs ago and he has been a great friend. He has always been able to make me smile when I was sad. He was always there for me when I needed him. I can honestly say, he would say I had been there for him a time or two as well. I will miss this wonderful man, he made me a better person and I will love him until eternity. I know we will dance again one day my sweet Sherman. XO Marta
Sherman was a man who was loved by many. He always had a smile on his face and everyone he knew felt blessed to have him as a friend. RIP dear Sherman I know you are with the angels and watching over us.
Leroy was so much fun when we lived next door, still remember all the informal get togethers and the New Years Party's. He will surely be missed, he was a true friend Joe & Kathey Cox
Saddened to learn of Shermans passing, he truly was remarkable in so many different ways. How wonderful he leaves a legacy of kindness, patience, caring, and hard work. His work ethic will always remain one of my best memories of him. Always willing to help others and work through problems without complaint. A man of many colors, many coats and hats. So privileged to know and work with him. Salute to his service in Vietnam. You are officially home now, so rest in peace, sleep well, and keep on dancin'. May God's lovingkindness bring comfort, joy and peace to family and friends.
So sorry to hear about Shermans passing. I worked with Sherman and he was such a pleasant man and always had a smile on his face. May God comfort you during this time of sorrow.Paula L. Hood
My heart goes out to the children and grandchild of Leroy. He was a nice young man that grew up to be a kind and loving man. I met Leroy when we were in high school and have kept in touch over the years through our High School Reunions I will miss him dearly in May of 2014 it would have been our 50th Class Reunion My prayers go out to his wonderful family Sharon Harris Kwak Wilson class of 1964
Sherman was solid gold for the years I knew him. A great exaple of how a man should live his life. My family was blessed to know him.
