Sherry Ann Maddox

Sherry Ann Maddox, age 78, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Herman House in Sperry, Oklahoma.
Born on January 1, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, Sherry was the beloved daughter of Harley Milton Diltz and Ileen Rose Manzanares.
Sherry built a successful career as a real estate agent with Keller Williams in Owasso, where she was known for her warm spirit, dedication, and genuine care for those she served. She had a creative soul and found joy in all things crafting, gardening, and quilting. More than any hobby or profession, Sherry treasured the time she spent with her family, who meant everything to her.
A devoted Christian, Sherry found great comfort and strength in her faith. She and her beloved husband, James Raymond Maddox, faithfully read the Bible together and shared a deep love for scripture, especially Psalm 25, which held special meaning in their lives.
Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, James Raymond Maddox, who passed away on May 9, 2025, after 64 years of marriage; her daughters, Jamie Dawn Maddox, Michelle Rene Maddox, and Angela Maddox; and her parents.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Shelly Ann Dunlap, Mellissa Rose Maddox, and James Edward Maddox, along with extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and love.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Following cremation, Sherry’s remains will be placed with her beloved James, and together they will be laid to rest at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Sherry will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, creative spirit, and the deep devotion she had for her family. Her memory will be cherished always.
