Shirley Bailey's Obituary
Shirley Gay Bailey, 74 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in a Tulsa hospital with her family by her side. She was born January 23, 1945 in Delaney, Arkansas to her parents, James Wallace Lee and Argenta Richie Lee. On February 14, 1960, Shirley married the love of her life, James “Jim” DeArmond Bailey and shared 59 beautiful years together.Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Jim Bailey of the home; two sons, Billy Wayne Bailey and wife Barbara of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Bruce Gerald Bailey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Don Lee of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Norman Lee of Chelsea, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Moore, Sarah Bailey, Luke Bailey, Lindsey Bailey, Laurie Davis, Matthew Bailey, Timothy Bailey and Benjamin Bailey; one great grandson, Maddox Moore; nephew, Jimmy Dale Hedrick; two nieces, Christi Grissom and Gena Ortega; and many other nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Argenta Lee; three sisters, Flora March, Dora Lewis, and Inez Hedrick.Shirley was employed with Bama Pies for 43 years and enjoyed her many years working with the Tulsa Chamber. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, and worshiping the Lord God Almighty.Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of the Prophets. A reception will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Floral Haven’s Family Center following the service.Flowers are welcome and if you would like to place a memorial please do so to St. Jude’s in Shirley’s Honor.
