Shirley Brown's Obituary
Shirley Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, went to her heavenly home on January 19, 2024 at the age of 88. Shirley was born on May 11, 1935, in Hector, Arkansas, to Fal Greenwood and Lorneze (Caudle) Greenwood. She married the love of her life on November 29, 1952, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and they shared 68 wonderful years together.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter, Debbi Emerson and husband Dwight; her son, Ben Brown and wife Ann; her sister, Carol Goldsmith; granddaughter, Sarah Wilson; great-grandchildren, Adia Emerson, Olivia Wilson and Emily Wilson; niece, April Shroff; granddaughter-in-law, Andrea Emerson, and many friends, cousins, and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Paul Brown, parents, son Danny Brown and grandson Keith Emerson.
Shirley's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, wife, loving mother, and a cherished friend. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home – Rose Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Christ for Humanity (6314 E 13th St, Tulsa, OK 74112) and The City Lights Foundation of Oklahoma (P.O. Box 14221, Tulsa, OK 74159 in Shirley's memory.
