Shirley Anne Jones' Obituary
Shirley Ann Jones, 90, of Highland Village, Texas was called home by her Lord on September the 22nd, 2022. She was born April 25, 1932 to her mother Anna Lorees Parsley and her father Sherman Virgil Wallace in Wetumpka Oklahoma. She grew up in Kansas, Illinois, and Oklahoma, then attended SW Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas where she studied Theology and music. She remained a life long student of the Bible, with a deep love for learning, people, and gospel music. Shirley and her husband of 35 years, Howard M Jones, moved to McAlester Oklahoma in 1973. They developed deep roots with many good friends in the community and surrounding area and considered it home. She worked as a corporate contracts secretary for 28 years before retiring in 2004. After her husband's death in 2006, she moved to Highland Village Texas where she remained until her death. She is survived by 2 sons, Richard Lee McLaury and Michael Shaun McLaury, daughter-in-law Debbie, grandsons Matthew and Andrew, and many cousins and family members. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother, father, sister, and husband.
