Shirley Ann Long, a spirited and vibrant soul, peacefully passed away on February 22, 2025. Born on June 11, 1946, she left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Shirley was a devoted mother to Don and Wes Pringle, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was also a loving sister to Beverly Morrison and her partner Jim Behnke, Burt Carpenter Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Spicewood, Texas, and Ken Carpenter and his wife Lyllis of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Shirley was a lively little girl with a fierce spirit, and you did not want to get on her bad side! She had a knack for joking around and bringing laughter into every room. Shirley cherished her job at the Country Club, where she dedicated herself to feeding the residents, finding joy in their company and making a difference in their lives.
She shared a special bond with her sister Beverly, with whom she was extremely close. Shirley had a passion for painting, dancing, and filling the world with laughter through her endless supply of jokes.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Burtis and Phyllis Carpenter, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
A memorial service to honor Shirley's life will be held at a later date. Her presence, love, and laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
May Shirley Ann Long's memory continue to bring smiles, just as she did in life.
