Celebrating the Faithful Life of Shirley Marie Pilkington
June 12th, 1934 - January 19th, 2025
From the heart of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shirley Marie Pilkington graced this world with her divine gift of music and unwavering faith. A devoted church pianist and organist, Shirley served her congregation for many years, blessing all who heard her with melodies that lifted spirits and touched hearts. Even as she faced the challenges of dementia, her fingers never forgot the hymns; she played the piano with love and devotion until her very last days.
Her life was a testament to the enduring power of faith and music. Shirley's extraordinary musical talents were not just performances but offerings of worship, resonating deeply within her community and leaving a lasting legacy of spiritual inspiration.
She is reunited in peace with her beloved husband, Philip L. Pilkington, and her parents, Flossy and Steve Tyler. Shirley's spirit lives on through her loving family: sons Bryan Pilkington, Kevin and wife Jacki Pilkington; grandchildren Matthew and wife Kathryn Pilkington, and Kate Pilkington. They will forever cherish the memories of her gentle soul and the harmonious chords that filled their lives with joy.
The family extends special gratitude to the staff at The Beehive Glennpool and Purview Life for their compassionate care and attention shown to Shirley.
A visitation will be held on January 22nd, 2025, from 3-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home, for loved ones to say their farewells.
May Shirley's soul find eternal rest, and may her music continue to inspire and uplift those who remember her.
