Shirley Ann Rodgers' Obituary
Shirley Ann Rabe Rodgers, was born April 4, 1941 to Wolter and Lorene Moore Rabe in Alpena, Arkansas. Shirley passed from this life to her permanent home on February 6, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. Shirley spent her early years in Sapulpa where she attended SHS it was at the time Shirley met
(at the skating rink) the one she would love for the rest of her life, Bobby Joe Rodgers. Shirley and Bob were married July 27,1957 and welcomed Tommy, Timmy, Bobby and Lysa into the family unit.
Shirley is survived by her husband Bob; children Tommy Rodgers, Skiatook, OK; Tim Rodgers (Rene'), Orlando, OK; Bobby Rodgers (Lee), Wagoner, OK and Lysa Smith, Broken, OK; Grandchildren Jamie, Katie, Johna Reann (Lane) Witt, Clay (Emma), Cody, Brandon (Megan), Jessica, Jennifer and Hunter.
Great - grandchildren Laryn, Rylan and Cohen, Lincoln, Ethan Wyatt, Jaden and Easton.
Shirley is also survived by her sisters Sharon Rabe Brown (Gary) along with many nieces, nephews and very special cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; step mother Stella; grandson T.J. and daughter in law Cammi.
Shirley owned and operated beauty shops in West Tulsa and Bixby before moving to Broken Arrow where she became known as the BA craft lady.
Shirley was very talented and creative. She proudly supported and encouraged all of her sons throughout their sports in school and beyond never tiring of the games, practice and travel. Shirley gave her life to the Lord at an early age, loved and served him in church attendance, singing, helping with dinners and her special love The Clothes Closet. Shirley was a faithful member of Praise Fellowship and the celebration of her life will be held at Praise Fellowship 201 S Water Sapulpa, OK, Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 at 1:00 PM with interment at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow.
