Shirley Stowe's Obituary
Shirley Stowe of an undisclosed age (because we’re not allowed to tell), passed away at her home surrounded by her family on October 1, 2021. She was born to Sam and Verba Snow on January 25th, 1939 in Strafford, MO. Shirley loved coffee, books, singing, playing the piano, praying for people, and dark chocolate, of which we are still finding stashes and wrappers hidden in various places. Shirley graduated from Strafford Highschool and went to work for the telephone company as a switchboard operator before getting married. Throughout her life, Shirley stayed extremely active. She volunteered as a children’s and youth pastor for many years, worked at Teen Challenge, was a dedicated volunteer at her church, and became a prayer partner and supporter of several ministries. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers Cecil Snow and John Snow; her husband James Stowe; twin granddaughters. She is survived by her brother Robert Snow; her 2 sons Randy Stowe of Nixa, MO and Tim Stowe and his wife Kris of Crane, MO; 2 daughters Lori Bell and her husband Don of Tulsa, OK and Christie Stowe of Tulsa, OK. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 11 at 3 pm at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to honor one of her favorite ministries, the Oasis Radio Network (oasisnetwork.org).
