Shirley Rae Strong's Obituary
Shirley worked at the Petroleum Club in Tulsa, OK while attending High School. After High School, she married Eddie Davis and became a homemaker and mother to their three children. They were married 10 years.
Shirley went to work at the Tulsa County Courthouse as a Court Clerk and later Freeman Products in the Accounting Dept. in Broken Arrow, OK. That is where she met her second husband, Charlie Strong and became the step-mother to his son, Davy Strong. She once again became a homemaker and mother to their four children. They were married nearly 20 years.
Shirley went on to work for Walmart in Broken Arrow, OK in the soft lines department for 14 years before she retired in August of 2017. She then moved to Owasso, OK.
Shirley enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling league for several years. She also enjoyed listening to live music, line dancing, two stepping, playing miniature golf and flying with her granddaughter Ashley, just to name a few.
Shirley enjoyed traveling with her friends and family to some of her favorite places, such as, Branson, MO, Eureka Springs, AR and Orlando, FL.
Shirley’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You would often find them sitting around the table playing games, laughing and making new memories.
Shirley was a graduate of McLain High School in Tulsa, OK in 1962 and was a member of Teenation.

Granddaughter, Alyssa R. Hill, great grandchildren, Aubrey and Kaden Dunbar.
Daughter, Julie L. Evers (Dan), granddaughter Ashley D. Shelton (Greg). Grandson Noah W. Evers.
Daughter, Carrie L. Gauger (Cale), granddaughter Lauryn P. Vanscoy. Grandson's Ryan M. Vanscoy and Landon A. Gauger.
Also, other nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, John O. Pitezel and Jauneta M. (Burdick) Pitezel, sister Judy A. Howard, daughter Angela G. Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at 10:00 am at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK.
Inurnment will follow after the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
