Shirley Ware's Obituary
Shirley Ware, 83 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, August 26, 2019 in Tulsa with family by her side. She was born October 13, 1935 to her mother Agnes King Baker and father, Daniel Sheridan Baker. She was the 6th sibling, preceded in death by her parents, brothers, J.C., Dean, Hurshell, and Jack and sister, Betty Baker Morgan. One living sibling, her treasured sister, Ramona Sanzalone Tracy.Shirley married Loreing Lynn “Rod” Ware, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage before his death in 2013. During their marriage they had two daughters, Marcia Lynn Ware Stone and Danette Rae Ware. Marcia passed in 2016, leaving behind Heather Shipman and Gabriel Stone. Gabriel passed from this earth, also, in 2016. Danette has one daughter, Danielle Yarbrough and her husband Jacob Yarbrough and the delight of everyone, Adelynn Rae Yarbrough. Rod and Shirley adored their children, grandchildren and great grandchild, better known as “Addy”. She loved her Aunt Marcia and Uncle Gabe, but Heather has her undivided attention. She and HB will make great shoppers together. She doesn’t really understand heaven but remembers her prayers for all.Shirley and Rod were stationed at several different bases in Texas, and Rod served in Japan, servicing the aircraft that flew in the Korean War. They also traveled extensively during his 38 years at American Airlines. Their favorite city was Rome and Spain. Always wishing they could tour Europe again.Shirley volunteered all thru her working years, mostly in relation to children and to benefit their wellbeing.Shirley leaves behind their group of friends, many she has known for 40+ years. They have traveled together, laughed together and then cried together at those who passed on. What dreams we all dreamed . . .Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Devotion. Following services there will be a reception held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Floral Haven’s Family Center.
