Shirley Lee Woodard's Obituary
Shirley Lee Woodard, 86, of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away on July 7th, 2022 at Woodland Skilled nursing home in Okmulgee after struggling with congestive heart failure for a few months. Shirley Woodard, daughter of Sylvia and Roy Self was born on July 13th, 1935. She is survived by her husband Dale Woodard, and her two children Kelly Metcalfe, and Jimmy Woodard. She is also survived by her siblings Eula Goswick, Mark Self, Jim Self, and Bill Self. Shirley Lee Woodard is also survived by her grandchildren Austin Young, Cody Metcalfe, David McCullough, Dylan McCullough, and Chelsea Herring. As well as her great-grandchildren Madalyn McDaniel and Hadley Herring and many other cousins and family members. Shirley worked as a telephone switchboard operator with her sister Betty at Bell Telephone company in downtown Tulsa. Shirley also worked as a cafeteria cook at Jenks elementary school for many years. Shirley was known for her love and care towards everyone she met as well as strangers and she also believed in treating others the way that she would like to be treated. She enjoyed listening to music, especially songs by Elvis Presley. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home this Wednesday at 12:30 pm.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Tuesday, July 13, 2022, at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life service will be 12:30 pm, Wednesday, July 14, 2022, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
