Sidney Martin Breece's Obituary
Sidney "Martin" Breece, 88, of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at his home on November 30, 2025. He was born December 28, 1936, in Nashoba, OK to Sidney and Johnnie Breece. Sidney grew up running through the hills of Broken Bow and living on top of Carter Mountain where his mother worked in a 100ft fire tower as a lookout.
Sidney spent many years as a construction superintendent building bridges, laying water lines, and pouring concrete all over Oklahoma. One of his favorite stories to tell people was that he built the wave pool at Big Splash in Tulsa. Once retired, he spent many years volunteering at the Senior Citizens Center in Claremore where he met his second wife, Laura. They got married on February 2, 2014. Sidney spent his later years woodworking and making what he called "Whirlygigs" These whirlygigs lined the top of his fence and anyone who stopped to ask about them received one as a gift.
He loved hugs, word searches, his tree lilies, yard work, and watching the birds and squirrels eat in the backyard.
Sidney is preceded in death by his wife Laura Breece, parents Sidney and Johnnie, 2 brothers Larry and David, and a daughter, Carol Maxey.
He is survived by his daughter Amy Hulse, son Christopher Breece, sister Faye Johnson, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
