Simon Manuel Gonzales, Jr., 65 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, November 23, 2018 in a Tulsa hospital with family by his side. He was born August 10, 1953 in Lynnwood, California to his parents, Simon Manuel Gonzales, Sr. and Delores Herrera Gonzales.Simon worked as a concrete structural engineer in construction for many years. At age 63, Simon ran his first 44 mile run and was very devoted to his health and fitness and was even a body builder in his younger years. He loved to laugh and tell stories and was a true lover of life. He enjoyed things such as nature and the outdoors, traveling, and hiking. Simon could be described as a very faithful person that loved to look good, smell good and charm others. He was a soccer coach who loved to teach and mentor others. Simon was a true lover of all animals and even worked as a surgical tech at a large animal hospital.Simon is survived by his life partner, Linda Reynolds; one daughter, Jessica Flores and husband Marcel; one son, Simon Gonzales, III; his children’s mother, Noreen “Rennie” Gonzales; four siblings, Rae, Rick, Ruben and Sally; eight grandchildren, Emma, Nolan, Jade, Hayley, Samantha, Nicole, Simon IV, and Scarlet; one great-granddaughter, Nora; his fur baby, Samantha; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Danny, Rudy, and Yolanda; and his fur babies, Jake, Tessie, Yogi and Logan.There are no scheduled services at this time.The family has requested memorials be made to the American Red Cross.
