Stacey Janelle Huckaby's Obituary
Stacey Janelle Huckaby, 43, a resident of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away on January 31, 2023. Stacey was born on May 8, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Union High School and received the President’s Special Recognition Award to attend college at The University of Oklahoma and later transferred to Oklahoma State University. Most recently she graduated from Tulsa Tech as a Medical Insurance Coder. She worked as a Patient Registration Representative at St. John Owasso Emergency Room and Administrative Representative of Millennium Home Health Care of nursing team for medical services assignment.
Stacey was 5 months old when her family came to Harvard Avenue Christian Church. Stacey enjoyed the yearly ski trips with the large group of families from Harvard Avenue Christian Church and later participated in ski trips including racing with Tulsa Ski Club. She loved working with children and was an after school teacher assistant at Miss Helen’s during high school. Her early life focus brought her to Eastside Christian Church activities including making lifelong friends through her youth group including retreats at Camp Christian and Monte Vista, Colorado.
Stacey is survived by her parents Gloria and Tom Jones of Tulsa, brother Eric Huckaby (Kimberly) of Morris, Oklahoma, and nieces Ella, Lilly and Andi Grace Huckaby, and uncle Rick Huckaby. She leaves behind her aunt Ann Nellen (David) of Marana, Arizona. She was married to Alex Gonzalez for ten years. She also leaves a close extended family of loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will sincerely be missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Gene Huckaby (survived by Amy Huckaby), in 2011 and her grandmother, Marion Drusilla Huckaby, and grandparents Raymond Glenn Swain and Emma Sue Swain Callahan.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Harvard Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the Floral Haven Family Center.
