Stanley Lee Larrison's Obituary
Stanley Lee Larrison, 67, passed on to eternal life on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in his home in Coweta, OK. Stan was born in Holton, KS on February 23, 1948 to Donald and Rosie (Wilson) Larrison and was raised in Circleville, KS. He graduated with honors from Circleville High School in 1966 and from Emporia State Teachers College in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in Education. After college, Stan married his sweetheart, Donna Lee Rhodes, on June 6, 1970. He and his wife taught together in northern Kansas for 6 years. Following teaching, Stan went back to school, while working full time. In 1978, Stan graduated from Emporia State University with a business degree with an emphasis in computers and data processing. He worked as a computer analyst for Conoco for 26 years in Ponca City, OK and retired in 2004. Stan enjoyed his retirement years in Coweta. Stan is survived by his wife of 45 years; son, Scott Larrison and wife, Gabrielle, of Mannford, OK; and daughter, Kathleen Foreman and husband, Andrew, of Broken Arrow, OK. He greatly cherished his 5 grandchildren: Samuel, Naomi, Isaiah, Madelyn, and Bethany. Also surviving is sister, Charlotte Utz, and husband, Kenny, of Holton, KS. Stan was preceded in death by his parents. Stan was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Ponca City and Abiding Harvest United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow. Stan was an avid walker and had a passion for church service, financial investing, couponing, horticulture, and sports, especially the World Champion Kansas City Royals. Stan had a servant’s heart and always looked for opportunities to help others. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30th from 12-8 p.m. at Floral Haven. A memorial will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, December 2nd at Abiding Harvest United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, for the multipurpose activity center fund: Abiding Harvest United Methodist Church, 4407 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK 74011.
