you will be missed
Here was the email sent to fellow team members at Anchor Paint about Keith's passing. We will all truly miss him.I realize most people in Tulsa have been notified about Keith Smith. For those of you outside Tulsa, it is my sad duty to inform you of the passing of a senior member of the Tulsa Factory team. Keith Smith passed away over the weekend, after a long battle with a respiratory illness. Keith started work at Anchor beginning June 6, 1970 and has held several positions, most recently being in charge of the label room. Keith was always an individual you could count on. If something needed to be done, Keith was right there to help…with a smile. He was always the first to say hello when you passed him in the plant. HereÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s one thing many of you may not know about Keith. Keith once saved the plant from having HAZMAT and the EPA called due to a high probability of a release of toxic vapor into the facility! Allow me to explain…one early morning, several years ago, a certain member of the Crepuscular or mustelidae animal family (a skunk) took up residence in a trash can just outside the break room door. And, on that faithful day, only one person stepped up and the someone was Keith…all the other Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??manly menÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã? screeched in shear panic. Keith, ever so slowly, tipped the can to the ground and coaxed the little fellow out to a safe and uneventful conclusion (if you get my drift). I canÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢t recall the name we gave it, perhaps the Great Skunk Out Award, but Keith was given a award at our plant meeting for this single handed act of bravery.Keith, you will be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time.
We miss you and u will always be in our hearts we love u brother and uncle keith, our prayers go out to our sister in law and aunt joanna and our nephew and cousin brian smith
