Stanley Eugene Warrington's Obituary
Stan Warrington was born December 26, 1952 in Okemah, Ok to Gene and Edith Warrington. He was raised in Cromwell, Ok were he attended school and learned the importance of work, working alongside his father and Uncles in their service Station.He attended Rice University. Following college, he found his calling as a teacher. Stan taught at schools in Cheyenne (OK), Okemah, and Keifer before starting at Broken Arrow Schools in 1990 where he taught through the 2016-2017 school year.Stan taught Math, History, and coached the academic team at South Intermediate. He finished at Broken Arrow high school where he taught credit recovery. He always said intelligence was never an issue with any group he taught, what created the difference in successful students was motivation, which he strove to provide throughout his career.Stan is survived by his parents, his sister Jan Henley, his wife Sally, his two sons – Mark and Patrick, and many other relatives and friends.Family will greet friends Sunday, August 13, 2017, 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th E Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 14, 2017, at 10:30 AM at the Harvard Avenue Christian Church, 5502 S. Harvard Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma.Stan requested donations to his memory be given to Rice University’s student endowment or 1st Baptist Church of Cromwell, Ok.
