Stella Louise Hilton's Obituary
Stella Louise Hilton, “Nano”, beloved mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend; born Monday, December 10, 1923 in Springfield, Missouri to her loving parents Scott & Martha Turner; went to be with the love of her life, “Daddy/Papa” on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in Owasso, Oklahoma with loving family by her side. Stella or better known as “Nano” by her family, married Joe Daniel “J.D.” Hilton (Daddy/Papa) when he returned from serving his country honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corp in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Settling down in Tulsa and making it their home for the past forty-seven years and raising their family; Nano enjoyed many things in addition to the family she adored. She enjoyed working at Renberg’s selling shoes, shopping, sewing, gardening, and crocheting, knitting, baking, playing golf, roller skating, and splitting a pizza at Ken’s on Friday nights with Papa along with a pitcher of Michelob. In addition, Nano loved her dogs; Bo, Scooter, Schulz, Tiny, and Dolly “Shut Up Dolly!” Stella is preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-seven years, Joe Daniel “J.D./Daddy/Papa” Hilton, her loving parents, Scott & Martha Turner, and sister Doris Chandler “Aunt Doris”. Stella is survived by her loving children, Joyce Tockey “Aunt Sissy” and husband Dick ”Uncle Dick”, Joe Hilton “Uncle Joe” and wife Beatrice “Aunt Bea”, Jerry Hilton “Uncle Jerry” and wife Kathy “Aunt Kathy”, Janet Orr “Aunt Janet” and Jim Pratt, Brother-In-Law Brady Chandler “Uncle Brady”, and Gary Orr “Uncle Mike”. Beloved grandchildren; Scott and Teresa Tockey, Michael Tockey, James Hilton and fiancé Danielle Kellar, Danny Tockey, Brady Orr, Kristi and Jake Russell, Courtney and Anna Hilton, Jennifer Hilton, Denise Wilkerson, and Christopher and Ann Hilton. Her beloved great grandchildren; Lisa, Beth, Peyton, Kayla, J.D., Hunter, Gabe, Brodie, Joey, Finley, Addison, Austyn, Abbie, Patrick, and Audrey. Her precious two great-great grandchildren; Llana Kristina and Charlotte Katherine. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 3:00PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home in the Chapel. Stella will be placed to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens following her services.
