Obituary for Stella Elizabeth Huskinson (1930–2024)
Stella Elizabeth Huskinson, aged 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Born on May 28, 1930, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, she was the beloved daughter of Andrew Herman Jelsma and Lila Mae Charvoz Jelsma.
Stella's life was marked by love, family, and dedication. On June 10, 1951, she married John Charles Huskinson in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and together they shared a lifetime of memories until his passing in 2017. Stella was a devoted homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a warm and nurturing home for her family.
Stella was known by her great grandchildren as "Great Stella," and great is exactly what she was. She was a great prayer warrior and knew the Bible front to back, a great painter, a great shopper, and the greatest supporter of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished connections. Stella is survived by her two children: Linda Porter and her husband Lindel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and John Huskinson of Flower Mound, Texas. Her brother, Dr. Lawrence Jelsma of Plano, Texas, also mourns her loss.
Stella's love extended to her five grandchildren:

- Hollie Shipley and her husband Gary
- Matthew Huskinson and his wife Megan
- Dr. Brian Huskinson and his wife Courtney
- Emily Huskinson
Additionally, she was blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Aspen, Maison Ann, Nora, Makensie, Ash, Myer, Lila, Henry, and Noah who brought joy to her later years. Stella's circle of friends and extended family members will forever remember her kindness, wisdom, and warm smile.
