Stephanie Lee Brown's Obituary
Stephanie Lee Brown, 63, of Spring, Texas, passed away on January 25, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1961, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Charles and Oteka (West) Mayfield.
On April 10, 1993, Stephanie married the love of her life, Stephen Brown, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life centered on faith, love, and unwavering dedication to their family. Their greatest joy was their daughter, Sarah, for whom Stephanie was a devoted mother and primary caregiver. As a stay-at-home mother and homemaker, she made countless sacrifices to ensure Stephen could provide for the family, always putting the needs of her loved ones before her own.
Stephanie found immense joy in spending time with her family, attending church, and sharing in the rare but treasured occasions of dining out together. She had a warm and giving spirit, always ready to extend kindness to others. An avid reader, she cherished the quiet moments spent with a good book.
Beyond her family, Stephanie’s greatest passion was her ministry for special needs children. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to this mission, serving with a major local church ministry, where she meticulously planned and prepared Bible lessons for her students. Her patience, compassion, and deep love for these children left an indelible mark on their lives. Even after the ministry closed following the COVID-19 pandemic, her impact endured—contributing to the church’s decision to hire its first-ever special needs pastor, a testament to the lasting influence of her dedication.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Brown; her beloved daughter, Sarah Brown; her brothers, Charles and Austin Mayfield, and her half-sister Cindy Brown. She also leaves behind a host of cherished friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Oteka Mayfield.
A service to honor and celebrate Stephanie’s life will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Details are pending.
Stephanie’s life was a testament to selfless love, faith, and service to others. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives she touched.
