Stephen Thomas Taylor's Obituary
Stephen Thomas Taylor was born August 20, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and passed away April 2, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Steve went to school in Skiatook where most of his family is from, however he graduated from Edmond Memorial High School. He studied at the University of Central Oklahoma and was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. His career mostly included Procurement and Purchasing Management and he was known to be quite the negotiator. His favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, gardening, cooking, watching cooking and nature shows, going to his grand kids soccer games, playing with his grand kids, going to the gun range, collecting knives with his grandson and especially spending time with his wife on the back deck he built with his own two hands…..oh an did I mention fishing? He was known as a family man and that is exactly how he wanted to be known. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family – he loved with his whole heart and he had a big heart at that! He loved spending time with his grand kids who were his pride and joy – he was so proud to be their Papa – it was as if he was always meant to be a Papa – it was truly his calling in life. Steve is preceded in passing by his father-in-Law, James Mahoney; mother-in-Law, Phyllis Mahoney; cousin, David Reed; uncle, Jack Taylor; cousin, Danny Taylor and his mother, Patricia Harris. Steve is survived by his wife Marilyn Taylor; daughter, Kendra McColloch; grandson Cameron McColloch; granddaughter, Calista McColloch; father, Don Taylor Sr.; brother, Brett Taylor; Sister in law, Vicki Stewart and family, neice Amber McGowan and family, nephew Aaron Taylor, best friends, Scott & Julie Ross with daughters Stephanie & Kristen Ross; aunt, Billie Taylor; cousins, Jack Taylor , Jeremy Taylor, Josh Taylor, Renee Reed, Andrea Golden-Reed & Family, Dawn Schultz & Family, Garrett Reed & Family, and Lauren Reed; sister-in-law, Martha Sullivan.The Family is inviting anyone who would like to come and celebrate Steve and share a story or memory to come on Saturday, April 16, 2017 from 3:00 – 5:00 at 5220 S.
