Steven Leroy Onsted's Obituary
Steven Leroy Onsted, known affectionately as Steve or Stevie, was born on August 19, 1964, in Adrian, Michigan. He passed away on April 18, 2024, in his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Steven dedicated his life to caring for others. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and pursued a fulfilling career as a registered nurse, touching countless lives with his compassion and expertise.
On December 28, 1996, Steven married the love of his life, Vhebs Onsted, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. Together, they raised a beautiful family. He was a devoted father to his three children: Kayeleigh Faye Onsted, affectionately known as “Honey”; Luveleigh Jeanne Onsted, lovingly known as “Luv”; and Heirich Olliver Maallo, fondly known as “Eko.”
Steven was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Jean. He is survived by his siblings: James Patrick, David Paul, and Teresa Marie.
Steven was the beloved son of Jim and Jean Onsted, who instilled in him the values of love, kindness, and compassion that guided him throughout his life.
Beyond his professional and family life, Steven found joy in a variety of hobbies and activities. He had a talent for carving ostrich eggs, creating intricate and beautiful designs that reflected his creativity and attention to detail. He also had a passion for riding motorcycles with his friends, feeling the freedom of the open road beneath him. However, his greatest joy came from simply hanging out with his beloved family, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Steven will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his gentle spirit, and his selfless dedication to others. He was a hilarious and charming presence, always ready with a joke or a smile to brighten someone’s day. His playful nature, combined with his strength, compassion, and expressive personality, made him a beloved figure in the lives of all who knew him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda, his cherished children, Kayeleigh, Luveleigh, and Heirich, his siblings, James, David, and Teresa, his parents, Jim and Jean, and a host of relatives and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
